Summer Sessions to do list
The time is coming for the warmer weather. That means getting outdoors even if it is just outside your own door and embracing family photos before the weather takes a turn for fall and winter. But, you may be wondering, what do I do for summer photos? I always do fall photos. Walking in the fall colors and throwing leaves. I’ve got you!
- Baking in your own kitchen or maybe just eating in your own kitchen. Our family LOVES doing donuts in the morning and I certainly don’t make them, but I hear families love to cook together and my clients seem to be amazing at it. I love getting the little pieces of whatever recipes you decide to share with me. Seeing your kids active in the baking process.
- Reading and crafting at home. Do you cuddle up in bed or on the couch and read together? Are you more of an activity family that paints and colors in your downtime? How have you captured that story?
- Sand castles and playing in the water. Summer weather is the perfect time to capture those days you spend at the beach. Gilson leaves lots of room to play in the sand or while the water is warm and the waves are calm. So many families spend so many hours at the pool and the beach but how often to we get to grab some quality photos of the whole family doing what they do together.
- Coffee Shop time. Ok donuts may come up a few times in our family photos and my story. But, the coffee shop may be more of a tea time for you and sandwiches. Or lemonade and cookies. Whatever gets you through those warm summer days and refreshes you. The next few speak for themselves.
- Walk around Kaey nature center if your family is that outdoorsy type.
- Your local playground, because who doesn’t love time on the swing?
- Picnic at the park or bring it back to your backyard. It’s a great activity from set up to execution and the photos are wonderfully fun.
